Train the trainer

The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to identify training and development needs and to deliver and evaluate a training intervention within a range of training and development contexts.

Training Needs Identification and Design (6N3325)

  • Adult learning theorist including understanding and control group dynamics.

  • Outline benefits of training needs analysis

  • assess a range of approaches and techniques to conduct a training needs analysis

  • Assess a range of instructional system design models

  • Identifying outcomes in terms of gaps in knowledge, skills and attitude

  • Devise a training plan based on priorities training needs

  • Developing training content and materials using a range of aids

Training Delivery and Evaluation (6N3326)

  • Evaluate a range of performance management approaches, concepts and theories in adult education

  • Current Legislation that impacts adult education and delivery

  • Evaluation models, approaches, tools and techniques used to monitor training

  • Use appropriate training content, materials and aids

  • Deliver a training programme

  • Provide constructive feedback

  • Report on training programmes including identification of successes and improvement
